Basketball betting at Betista: points, periods and overtime
Basketball has one feature that changes how you bet: the final result cannot be a draw, because the game goes to overtime until there is a winner. That is reflected in settlement rules, which differ from football's.

The moneyline pays the team that wins the game. A points handicap gives one team a virtual head start, for example −5.5 points. Totals (over/under) bet on the combined score. There are also period markets — quarters or halves — and player markets.
Overtime included
Unlike football, most basketball markets include overtime. A bet on «over 210.5 points» counts overtime points if there are any. Period markets are the exception: a fourth-quarter market usually excludes overtime. Read the market description in the bet slip.
Moving lines
Points lines move with injuries, line-ups and betting volume. The odds and line are fixed at the moment your bet is accepted. If the slip shows the line changed before confirmation, the bet is only accepted on the new terms.
Basketball and your balance
Games are short, and many take place overnight depending on your time zone. A bet settled at night may hit your balance hours before you see it. Deposit and session limits help you avoid reacting to results at unreasonable hours.
In-play and cash out
In basketball, scoring runs are frequent and live lines move with every possession. An in-play bet is only accepted at the odds shown when you confirm; if they move, the slip asks you to confirm again. Cash out, where offered, is the book's proposal to close the bet early, margin included. Taking it settles the bet immediately and frees the amount in your balance — useful if you need liquidity, but on average it costs something compared with letting the bet run.
When winnings become available
