Football betting at Betista: what decides settlement
Football has more leagues and markets than any other sport at a sportsbook. This page gives no tips; it explains the rules that decide how each bet is settled, because that is where winnings are lost through misunderstanding.

Match result (1X2) is the simplest market: home win, draw or away win. Then come goals markets — over/under, both teams to score — and handicaps, which give one team a virtual head start. There are also player markets, corners, cards and half-time results.
Regular time and extra time
The rule that surprises most: most football markets settle on 90 minutes plus stoppage time only. Extra time and penalties do not count unless the market says so, as with «to qualify». In a knockout tie, backing a team in the 1X2 and watching it go through on penalties is a losing bet.
Postponed and abandoned matches
A match postponed beyond the window in the house rules usually voids the bet and returns the stake. A match abandoned midway may see already-decided markets settled (for example «first goal» if a goal was scored) and the rest voided. The operator's general betting rules define these cases.
Football and your balance
On a busy matchday it is easy to have several bets open at once. The balance available for withdrawal excludes money in open bets. If you need the money by a certain date, do not leave it tied up in accumulators spread across several days.
In-play and cash out
In football, a goal or a red card moves live odds within seconds, and the book may suspend the market while it reprices. An in-play bet is only accepted at the odds shown when you confirm; if they move, the slip asks you to confirm again. Cash out, where offered, is the book's proposal to close the bet early, margin included. Taking it settles the bet immediately and frees the amount in your balance — useful if you need liquidity, but on average it costs something compared with letting the bet run.
When winnings become available
In any of these markets, the winning only enters your balance after official settlement, and only then can it be withdrawn. If a betting bonus is active, wagering applies before withdrawal. The withdrawal stages are in the withdrawal guide.
